(ČIA) On July 13, 2021, the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic approved the new Building Act. The deputies overrode a unanimous Senate veto. As ČIANEWS has already reported, the aim of the regulation is to significantly simplify the permitting of buildings and ensure compliance with deadlines. In the future, construction authorities will conduct only one procedure, which will result in one decision instead of the current zoning decision and building permit. The new law will also ensure that the appeal authority will always have to make a decision. With regard to digitization, the new construction system will make do with 4,000 to 5,000 officials instead of the current 7,000. Building authorities are to come under the Supreme Construction Authority.
