(CIANEWS) - The Chamber of Deputies has approved a bill in the first reading that will allow people to receive accurate information about their heat and hot water consumption. The bill is a transposition of an EU directive into Czech law. Billing reports will be delivered to citizens at least monthly intervals. Minister for Regional Development Ivan Bartoš (Pirates) said that this tool is particularly important in times of rising prices. All those who consume centrally prepared heat and hot water will be informed in this way if they have remotely readable meters or devices for distributing heating costs.
