MPs extended the state of emergency until December 23

(ČIA) On December 9, 2020, the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic approved the extension of the state of emergency until December 23, 2020. The government demanded an extension until January 11, 2021. Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) stated that he could not imagine the current measures being terminated. He added that recent developments are not good and that there will continue to be a need to manage groups in a controlled way.
