(ČIA) The Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic approved the pandemic act on February 18, 2021. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alena Schillerová (for ANO) said that with this act, the arguments for extending the state of emergency would end. She also considers it important that the already paid-out government assistance would be deducted from the newly approved compensation to entrepreneurs. The claims for damage compensation submitted by entrepreneurs stricken by the pandemic will be received and processed by the Czech Ministry of Finance and the compensation will be paid out directly from the state budget.
