(ČIA) The Ministry of the Interior (MV) has reached an agreement with the parliamentary parties on three options for correspondence election. This was stated by the Minister of the Interior Jan Hamáček (ČSSD). Quarantined people will be able to vote through drive in. They will also be able to vote in residential facilities that are closed due to the pandemic and also at mobile election commissions. J. Hamáček added that on August 17, 2020 the proposal should be approved by the government, on August 19, the document is to be discussed by the Chamber of Deputies and in the following days by the Senate. The original proposal also included the possibility of proxy voting, which did not have sufficient support.
