(CIANEWS) - The National Economic Council of the Government (NERV) is preparing a set of measures that should help convergence and increase prosperity and quality of life in lagging regions and micro-regions of the Czech Republic. The issue of regional development was therefore again one of the main topics of the meeting of the NERV members on June 22, 2023. The material will be submitted to the government once it is finalised. The members of the advisory body also discussed, among other things, the need to increase the efficiency of public administration. The development of recommendations will focus not only on central authorities but also on local governments. Within the framework of this topic, NERV also cooperates with the Government Office's Agenda Review Group, which focuses, for example, on the search for unnecessary or duplicated agendas.
