(CIANEWS) - The National Office for Cyber and Information Security (NÚKIB) recorded 22 cyber security incidents in June 2023. The number was well above the average of the last 12 months. In addition to DDoS attacks, which have regularly increased the number of incidents over the last six months, ransomware attacks have also increased. PLAY ransomware was the most significant contributor to this increase. According to the authority, its operators have put the Czech Republic high on their list of targets. The NÚKIB registered a case of spear-phishing against a Czech company from the defence industry, but no compromise occurred.
