One fifth of firms switch to cloud

(CIANEWS) - Roughly one fifth of Czech companies are now moving their operations to cloud storage, according to VSHosting data. The reason for this is the rising price of hardware. Data from analyst firm IDC speaks of a 15% increase in the price of servers and storage, a 20% increase in the price of computers and a 6-10% increase in software licenses. VSHosting's chief commercial officer David Lintimer says that companies can save up to 70% of costs compared to buying their own hardware and managing it. This is thanks, among other things, to buying hardware in large volumes.
