Orkla moves its headquarters to a new site in Oslo

Orkla has moved its headquarters to a new site in Oslo, Norway meaning that all units of the Orkla business in Norway will be located in one building for the first time. The new 24,000 square metre building is divided between three sections of five, seven and 16 storeys, and will be the new workplace of over 900 Orkla employees. The building has also been made with sustainability in mind, qualifying for Breeam Excellent certification, an environmental standard that exceeds official requirements, thanks to the incorporation of new technology such as smart energy systems and solar panels integrated into balcony railings and on rooftops. Orkla’s president and CEO, Peter Ruzicka, said: “This will be the workplace of more than 900 Orkla employees and the main base of the biggest branded consumer goods company in the Nordic region. “The building we are now moving into is a state-of-the-art structure that meets high environmental standards.” - Foodbev Media -
