(CIANEWS) - The European Council (EC) has agreed on a number of economic measures. Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) said this, adding that the member states agreed to simplify the conditions for investing in modern technologies and agreed to adjust the electricity market to better protect consumers. The Prime Minister welcomes the mention of nuclear power in the new energy proposals and the fact that the development of nuclear energy, including small modular reactors, can be more easily supported. The European Council also considers negotiations on free trade agreements with other countries, including in South East Asia, to be important.
