(ČIA) Prague Airport handled 434,000 passengers in March 2020, down almost 65% y/y. The number of flights dropped to 6015, i.e. by almost half. The spokesperson for the airport, Roman Pacvoň, has told ČIANEWS that the volume of transported cargo fell by ca. 17% y/y. Since March 20, 2020, the airport has transported more than 1,200 t of medical material. From March 20 until April 20, 2020, 44 special flights with medical material cargo landed in Ruzyně. The total volume of checked cargo on cargo flights, including regular cargo lines, increased by 26.5% year-on-year. The airport now operates mainly repatriation flights, some private flights and two scheduled flights to Minsk and Sofia.
