PwC: 82% of CEOs think economy will fall

(CIANEWS) - A total of 82% of CEOs of Czech companies expect the economy to decline in 2023. Last year, the figure was 29%. 7% of CEOs believe the economy will grow this year, compared to 55% in 2022. This is according to the PwC CEO Survey. CEOs are most worried about inflation, rising labor costs and volatile energy prices, and the risk of cyber threats is growing. In total, 18% of CEOs do not rule out layoffs, while 15% have already embarked on downsizing. Conversely, 44% of companies want to hire. 64% of respondents estimate their own company's revenue growth, the worst result in 10 years.
