Řehka: CR must prepare for wars, conflict is escalating

(CIANEWS) - The escalation potential of the war in Ukraine continues to grow, and even the most serious scenarios cannot be ruled out. Chief of the General Staff Karel Řehka stated that if there was a clash between Russia and NATO, the Czech Republic would be affected immediately and the Czech army would be an active participant from the first minute. He added that a number of weapon systems that are destroying Ukraine will also reach the territory of the Czech Republic. According to him, the domestic army must prepare for large-scale wars against an advanced adversary. He added that despite the huge increase in the budget, the army will not have enough resources for an ideal solution to all problems.
