Roaming rates to remain equal to domestic in EU

(CIANEWS) - The EU will extend the domestic roaming policy for 10 years from July 1, 2022. This will allow people travelling in EU and EEA countries to make phone calls, send text messages and connect to the internet at no extra cost. The new regulation also brings other benefits such as the same quality of mobile services, better access to emergency calls and clear information on the services that may incur additional charges. Operators should ensure that consumers have access to 4G or 5G networks where these are available in their destination.
