(CIANEWS) - Scania Czech Republic customers registered 997 new trucks in the Czech Republic in 2022 (2021: 1,118), as well as 8 buses (2021: 13). Scania modernised its service centre in Chrášt'any last year and has over 1,600 authorised service centres worldwide. It has launched hybrid and pure electric vehicles for urban distribution. It introduced the next generation of electric vehicles for regional long-distance transport. With a 40-tonne kit, they can travel up to 350 km on a single charge. They can be pre-ordered from June 2022. It is currently testing a hybrid truck with a trailer covered in solar panels. It is intended to extend the range by up to 5,000 kilometres a year. The company raised net sales to CZK 5.14bn from CZK 4.89bn. According to the annual report, profit for the financial year increased from CZK 458.3m to CZK 649.6m.
