(ČIA) The Senate returned to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament (PSP) the proposal to abolish the Real Estate Acquisition Tax. Senator Vladislav Vilímec (ODS) said that the upper house wants to amend the legislative shortcomings related to the deduction of interest on mortgages or loans for housing needs. The abolition of property acquisition tax itself does not concern the amendment. Minister of Finance Alena Schillerová (for ANO) stated that if the law is approved, the tax will be effectively abolished retroactively with effect from March 31, 2020.
