Síkela: Government wants to compensate smaller firms

(ČIA) The government plans to allocate up to CZK 3bn to compensations for entrepreneurs. This statement was made by Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Síkela (for STAN) after the government meeting. It will apply to entities that were restricted by anti-pandemic measures from November 25 to December 26. More than 11,000 entrepreneurs will be able to get this aid. Companies which recorded a 50% drop in revenue compared to the second half of 2019 are eligible. The aid should go to small firms that do not have larger financial reserves and have limited access to bank loans. The government wants to discuss aid with entrepreneurial unions and the Czech Chamber of Commerce. It should be approved in the week of February 7, 2022.
