Síkela: MPO working to establish state energy trader
(CIANEWS) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic (MIT) is working to establish a state energy trader. This was announced by Minister Jozef Síkela (for STAN), who added that the primary purpose is to purchase gas for state purposes. Additional energies could possibly be added later. J. Síkela further stated that the state trader should be able to negotiate directly with foreign gas producers and buy it from them at more advantageous prices. Thanks to this measure, the state is to gain a direct impact on energy security and strengthen its position in the segment.
