(ČIA) The Russian anti-trust office has allowed the investment company Sinara Group to acquire at least a 50% stake in the rolling stock manufacturer Vagonmash based in St. Petersburg. Vagonmash is owned by the Czech Škoda Transportation. As ČIANEWS has already informed, at the end of 2019, Sinara Group and Škoda Transportation signed an agreement to establish a joint venture for the production of metro, tram and trolleybus sets. In accordance with the agreement, both parties will have the same share in the joint venture and the products of the joint plant will be marketed under the Sinara-Škoda brand. The headquarters of Sinara-Škoda will be in St. Petersburg.
