(CIANEWS) - ŠKODA AUTO participates in the construction of a new wind farm in Finland. With a calculated annual energy volume of 570 GWh, the plant will in future produce enough green energy to supply around 150,000 households with electricity or to power ŠKODA electric cars with zero local emissions. The wind farm will consist of 38 turbines from the manufacturer Vestas. Each turbine has a rated capacity of 4.2 MW. The carmaker has set itself the goal of minimising the environmental impact of its products. For example, the Vrchlabí plant is carbon neutral from the end of 2020.
