(ČIA) On February 18, 2022, the Rail Research Institute received the first electric metro set from the Škoda Transportation Group in Velim, which will supply up to 45 six-car sets for almost CZK 8bn to Metro Warszawskie. In addition to the Velim test circuit, the test rides will also take place in the Prague metro or in the Warsaw metro. These are fully walk-through sets equipped with external and internal audiovisual information systems. The metro also has wheelchair, pram and bicycle compartments. The total capacity of one set is 1,500 people.
