SP ČR: State must support exports outside EU more

(ČIA) After the pandemic and in connection with the direct and indirect impacts of the war in Ukraine, it is an ideal time for export support to focus on areas and regions outside the EU, which the state and firms have so far paid less attention to, according to the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic (SP ČR). The Confederation added that 90% of Czech exports in 2021 ended in Europe. According to the Confederation, the increase in exports to other countries could significantly affect the Czech economy, for instance, improving the year-long balance of international trade. Therefore, the Confederation is in ongoing talks with ministers about making business visits to interesting locations in terms of exports. In May 2022, exporters, under the leadership of SP ČR president Jaroslav Hanák, will accompany Minister of the Environment Anna Hubáčková (KDU-ČSL) to Egypt and Israel. The June business mission, accompanied by Senate president Miloš Vystrčil (ODS), will visit the United States of America.
