(CIANEWS) - As of February 28, 2023, the Labour Office of the Czech Republic registered 282,508 jobseekers (UoZ), which is 19,075 more y/y and 551 fewer m/m. The share of unemployed persons rose slightly by 0.4 pp y/y to 3.9%, and was flat m/m. The number of job vacancies fell to 283 097. In international comparison, the unemployment rate was the lowest in the EU at 2.6% (EU average 6.4%), according to the latest available Eurostat data for January 2023. At the end of February 2023, 98,215 Ukrainians with temporary protection were working in the Czech Republic. Mostly as assemblers of products and equipment or as helpers in construction, production and transport or as operators of stationary machinery and equipment.
