(CIANEWS) - In the fourth quarter of 2022, total employment increased by 45,200 people year on year to 5.19m. This information was provided by the Czech Statistical Office. The employment rate grew by 0.6 pp to 75.8%. The number of the unemployed increased by 1,000 to 117,200 people. There was a significant decrease in the number of those who are unemployed for one year or longer (down 22,000 to 31,500). According to the ILO definition, the general unemployment rate in the age category of 15 to 64-year-olds dropped from 2.3% to 2.2%. The number of economically non-active persons aged 15 or more was 35,200 lower and totalled 3.52m.
