(CIANEWS) - In April 2023, the ratio of the unemployed to the economically active in the Czech Republic totalled 2.8%, up 0.3 pp year on year. Data published by the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ) also shows that the share of the employed to the entire population aged between 15 and 64 was 75.7% (up 0.4 pp). The employment rate was 81.9% for men and 69.1% for women. The employment rate was 45.6% for people aged between 15 and 29, 87.7% for people aged between 30 and 49, and 81.6% for people aged between 50 and 64. ČSÚ Labour Market Statistics and Equal Opportunities department director Dalibor Holý added that the economic activity rate was 8 pp higher than in April 2009.
