(CIANEWS) - The ratio of the unemployed to the economically active (the sum of employed and unemployed) reached 2.8% in July 2023. Year-on-year, it increased by 0.4 pp. A month earlier, in June 2023, it was 2.6%. In Eurostat surveys, the Czech Republic has been the country with the lowest unemployment rate for several years. In recent months, it has been in a tussle with Poland and Malta for this imaginary top spot. The share of economically active people in the population aged 15-64 reached 77.6%. Compared to July 2022, it increased by 0.2 pp. The information was published by the Czech Statistical Office.
