(ČIA) Representatives of more than 30 unions and associations objected to the new proposal for compensations, which was approved by the government of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) on February 8, 2021. According to them, the regulation is in contradiction with the previously discussed universal compensation program, the main goals of which included equal compensation for all those affected and the provision of economic security to companies and employees. Instead, according to unions, the government has adopted a proposal that will significantly reduce the amount of support to the affected sectors and create an unequal level of compensation between sectors due to the use of the criterion of the number of employees. At the same time, the unions are proposing that the government return to the proposal to compensate 80% of tax-deductible expenses.
