(CIANEWS) - Health Minister Vlastimil Válek (TOP 09) considers President Miloš Zeman's veto of the amendment to the law on public health insurance premiums a mistake. According to the minister, insurance companies have enough funds and the quality or availability of health care is not threatened in any way. He added that thanks to the automatic valorization of payments for state insured persons, funds for the Czech healthcare system will also increase in the future. He expects the government's majority to override the president's veto in parliament and push for a transparent, stable and predictable payment system for the state insured, along with higher funds for prevention.
