Volvo to use fossil-free steel in its trucks

(CIANEWS) - Volvo is introducing fossil-free steel, which is produced without generating CO2 emissions, into its trucks. The steel, made using hydrogen, will first be used in the truck's frame rails and later in other parts of the truck. The steel is produced by Swedish steel company SSAB and will be the first to be used in Volvo's heavy-duty electric trucks in Q3 2022.
