(ČIA) The Institute of Chemical Technology (VSČHT) in Prague has designed a device for a safe removal of pathogens from the air when using air-conditioning and ventilation equipment. It has not been experimentally tested yet. Its principle is based on high-temperature destruction of pathogens, including the currently monitored coronaviruses, by means of a metal grid made of resistance wire. The structure allows for an easy user connection. The idea was registered with the Industrial Property Office in May 2020. After the patent is approved, the device will be offered for licencing.
