(CIANEWS) - Experts from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Technology (VUT) in Brno created the TiramisO software (SW) for the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic (MŽP). Based on a mathematical model, it predicts waste production for the next ten to fifteen years and also offers various scenarios of the expected development. The lowest territorial unit for prediction is municipalities with extended jurisdiction, of which there are 206 in the Czech Republic, followed by 14 regions and the entire republic. The end of landfilling in the Czech Republic is planned for 2030, and it is assumed that most of the waste will be used as a secondary raw material, or at least for energy.
