Wind energy could see Sweden hit clean goals 12 years early

The Swedish Wind Power Association (SWPA) says its members are on track to generate 18TWh of electricity every year by the end of 2018. In 2012, Sweden agreed to increase its renewable energy production by 28.4TWh before 2020 – it later increased this target by an additional 18TWh to be installed before 2030. The organisation says 3,681 wind turbines will be operational across the country by the end of the year and suggests they will help achieve other national targets of ensuring universal access to an affordable, reliable and modern energy service and substantially increasing the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix. - Energy Live News -
