(CIANEWS) - President Miloš Zeman considered not appointing Vladimír Balaš (STAN) as Minister of Education. The reason was the reservations that the head of state had about him. One of them was the opinion in the case of the collapse of the Investiční a poštovní banka, the other was the acceptance of politician Jan Ruml to study at the Plzeň Faculty of Law. The President said this in the TV program Prima Partie, stating that by appointing V. Balaš to the post, he decided not to add to the worries of Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) during the Czech Presidency of the EU and the affair of the STAN government movement.
